When there is belly dance competition, I need brain competition to create choreography. The choreography is already stored in my body, putting it on the page is just mental repetition. Sigh…a little ‘brain sucking’ if student depend heavily on me when performing the movement.

The 2^nd Malaysia Open Dance Fest 2010 is challenging as the contester need to dance to the live music in advance category. In Malaysia, live music is not always available, and we, belly dancers usually choreograph our belly dance to recorded music. The organiser will be giving drum demonstrations lesson in August. Hey, what a good opportunity to learn to the live ‘dum’ and ‘tek’! Don’t miss it! I love good challenge! I am waiting for demonstrations lesson……not only for belly dance, but will also improve my leading and dancing skills.
